How to keep your SUITSUIT suitcase nice and clean

When you go on holiday, your suitcase might not stay as clean as you'd like. If it is not because of a rain puddle you encountered on the way to your hotel, then it is because of the many baggage belts your suitcase has had to face. That's a bummer, no doubt! Not to worry, we have some tips and tricks to solve this. Here's how you can keep your suitcase clean before, during, and after your trip.

FOR THE LAYER OF DIRT ON YOUR SUITCASE

No matter where you travel to, there will always be a layer of dirt left on your suitcase. The nice thing about SUITSUIT suitcases is that this layer is easy to remove. Use warm soapy water or a damp cleaning cloth. Also make sure to clean the handles and zippers well. This is because these parts are touched the most.

FOR BLACK STRIPES ON YOUR SUITCASE

Do you spot black streaks on your suitcase? You can easily remove these too! Use a small amount of petrol and a clean cloth, this will make the stains disappear. (Note: Do not use petrol on textile suitcases and travel bags; the oil will leave stains). Are there black rubber stripes on your suitcase? You can remove these very easily by using a clean eraser and just rubbing them away!

FOR THE WHEELS OF YOUR SUITCASE

You walk everywhere with your SUITSUIT suitcase rolling by your side. Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent the wheels from getting dirty. It is therefore important to keep them clean. Use a hand brush and warm soapy water. The brush makes it easy to remove dirt from the wheels.

FOR THE INSIDE OF YOUR SUITCASE

After all that traveling, the inside of your suitcase can get dirty. No doubt sand from a day at the beach will end up in it or some dust that remains behind. Our tip: After clearing out your luggage, grab a dust buster or vacuum cleaner and vacuum away any remaining dust, dirt, or sand. This will ensure a clean suitcase when you pack for your next trip.

FOR THE SMELL OF YOUR SUITCASE

Unless you are travelling most of the year, your suitcase remains closed for most of the time. After a trip, a suitcase is often stored neatly back in the closet. Yet even a suitcase needs some 'breathing space' every now and then. Otherwise, the suitcase might develop unpleasant odours due to the lack of fresh air. When you visit a warm country or when you have a lot of dirty laundry in your suitcase, this chance is especially high. The perfect solution: when you get home, put a bar of soap or scented tube in the suitcase and leave it in until your next trip. That way it will smell wonderfully fresh again.

Extra fun: during your trip, collect the scented tube or soap with a specific scent of your destination. That way, when you are packing for your next trip, you can bring back fond memories and get into the ultimate holiday mood!

FOR PROTECTING YOUR SUITCASE

Voilà! Your entire suitcase is completely clean again after the previous steps. Both the inside and the outside parts are all clean and beautiful. Time to put it away again. Use the SUITSUIT protection cover prevent scratches and dirt during your next getaway. We wish you a very enjoyable trip!
